@TudyBOT What essential oils can I use on a wasp sting on my chickens?
@TudyBOT
It is not recommended to use essential oils on a wasp sting on your chickens. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, and other adverse effects on chickens. In case of a wasp sting, the best course of action is to remove the stinger if it's still protruding from the skin and apply a cold compress to the affected area to reduce swelling and pain. You may also want to isolate the affected chicken from the rest of the flock until they have fully recovered. If the chicken's condition worsens or if you notice any unusual symptoms, please consult a veterinarian with avian expertise as soon as possible.

If your bird is having a reaction, you can use 1/2ml childrens benedryl only. Wait 24 hours before redosing if necessary.
It's important to note that while Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be used to alleviate allergic reactions in chickens, it should only be administered under the supervision of a veterinarian. The recommended dosage and frequency of administration may vary depending on the chicken's weight and other individual factors. Additionally, not all types of allergic reactions may respond to Benadryl alone, and other treatments may be required. It's best to consult with a veterinarian with avian expertise who can properly diagnose and recommend treatment for your chicken's individual needs.

Yeah I don't have childrens benedryl. I have just been applying lavender oil on the sting in between her toes. It's been there for almost four days now and its not getting smaller or bigger. I don't think it's bumblefoot because it's not getting bigger. So I was wondering what else to apply. I have WO oil but it has wormseed and a couple of others it looks like they can't have, so that's why I was asking. I don't want to force anything internally unless absolutely necessary.
