I'm also hatching silkies

just got the incubator today getting the eggs soon! It's my first hatch and incubation and I am very exited!!!!!

I set 20 eggs today -- barred rocks, buff orps, bcm's and ee's. These were beautifully shipped eggs from byc'er bargain (thanks again, Nancy!). I'm so excited to see how they do! My digital therm is reading at 97-98* but my glass one is coming in at 99* so I'm not futzing with it any more -- I'm making myself leave it alone.

Of course tonight we're having wicked wind and storms and the power has already flickered several times. I told hubby it never fails -- I plug in the 'bator and the power goes out!

I will join you with my class of 2nd graders here in Colorado. We are doing this is a class porject
We set 16 eggs yesterday... So we may be a day or 2 before April Fools... if everything goes well.

I am a bit new at this and possibly will be asking a few questions here and there. This is only my 3rd time doing this and last year we inly had 2 chicks hatch out of 18
We have a Binrsea Octagon Advance and my prinicpal just ordered the humidity pump to add to it.... should be here sometime next week.
That may interesting trying to attach it after the eggs are in

I set eggs this morning. I'm in. 12 shipped white showgirl and silkies,12 BCM of my own and 1 Wh/Blu Wh ameraucana of my own. May throw in a couple more that lay today of the bcm and amer. Good Luck everyone!
