posting here because sometimes humans can be predators to chickens putting them in harms way!
It never fails that every morning on April fools some idiot releases a bunch of chickens and roosters in a subdivision in my town. Last year the poor things did not fair well What few the by-law officers could catch were frost bitten (im in Canada so its cold still in April!) starving, and full of lice. The rest were eaten by predators...
Today someone let loose a bunch of barred rocks. These poor things are terrified. I would love to just take all these girls and wrap them up and keep them warm and happy forever but i'm scared to put my current flock at risk. I'm just hoping now with the popularity of home security cameras that someone catches this person on video and they can be charged!!
