Hatch is over...6 little eggs set...6 hatched. These were out very first own eggs...I have Grandchickees!!!! This is cool seeing as I have been on the other side of the hatch with one and it died 9 days later.

The swedish trio is doing ok...I candled the Hona's and they are developing and checked a couple of the flowers and they look good too

. I will check the ones with bad air cells tomorrow and see if they attached. Crossing my fingers. Bums me out that the post office put these eggs in jeopardy.

Happy hatching!!!

Congrats! You gotta love those Brinsea minis. They get the job done!!

Always add water at incubator temperature to avoid major temperature swings, then be ready to adjust the temperature if necessary once humidity goes up. Every incubator behaves differently.

For better or worse I just put all 12 eggs into lockdown. Have a couple I'm not sure on so we shall see. Have a couple of bantam eggs whose air cells see me to have exploded over night. Hope they aren't too big and the extra humidity gets them through hatching.

Lockdown tonight! When I add water, should i heat it since it's been dry til now?

If I have room in my incubators i add a ball jar with water in it that has been boiled. I use those to add water when necessary and that way it's to temp. It also helps keep temps stabilized in a small hatch using a styrobator!

Best of luck!

20 eggs going into lockdown tomorrow. Call ducks, khaki Campbell's, GLWs, and silkies. Has anyone ever locked down ducks and chickens together? I'm debating whether to use 2 separate hatchers or not.
