oh okay thanks I thought that is what you were meaning but just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything that is had to be dong for the incubation.

I am getting ready to get a flashlight for candling sense i have to starting doing that thursday what type of flashlight should i get? One of those Mag ones I think I have heard they work okay. I have green eggs to that I will have to candle.

fingers crossed. The egg that had piped before lockdown is peeping. There maybe hope yet. This is my second attempt at hatching, first try Igot 2 out of 18 but I learned alot and got my hydrometer calibrated. So hard to go to work with peeping at home.

really disapointed that I went to the trouble to post pictures and had only one person comment. Maybe it is better to be a lurker than a participant. Maybe this is one of those clique sites that I will use for info only and not comment. Seems that I post and wait and wait and never get response.. But............ good info on here.

Had 40 eggs to start with, 10 made it into lockdown. I am hoping so eagerly for babies on Wednesday but I cannot be surprised if I get none, I think I have a bacterial problem.

I'm IN! I just got my 7 Blue Splash Marans eggs on Friday, hatch date=April 30th! I'm SO excited to see what comes of these as this is the first batch of shipped eggs I'm incubating.

you know that is about exactly what i was going to post. i'm pretty new here too but learn wonderful things here almost everyday. also, if i do have a moment to read threw this huge thread or catch up from where i last read, i most likely end up not having time to post a reply because i have 5 children here with me. so between taking care of them, schooling, tending house etc i don't have alot of time to post. don't feel disappointed and take it personally or think this is a cliquey site. i really think this to be a pretty welcoming and helpful group of people here. i have to go and do a couple lessons w/kids then when they have a break i'll be back to take a look at your pics
