- I have a Bev Davis Marans egg pipping and a Wade Jeanne pipping now!!

- Also, several Jersey Giants and Ameraucanas are also pipping.

2 Ameraucanas have already hatched, and one is SO sweet. . . S/he is quiet, friendly, and so curious. . . You peep peep at it, and it comes waddling on over to you to say hi. It is so adorable, I lured it to the little vent hole, stuck a marker through, and marked it pink without even opening the bator!

Really curious as to what color my first Jersey Giant will be. . . Splash? Blue? Black?

Also, I'm dying to see my one polish egg pip and hatch!!!

Well, I think my first April hatch is done. Two standard size mutt chicks and one bantam (out of five mutt and seven bantam eggs
sad.png
) Don't know why they all quit so late? I think it's low humidity. Will that make them quit just before hatch or is it only a problem when the hatch begins? We have a Marsh turnX, it's a little one with a plastic dome. The humidity doesn't stay very high anyway and then you have to lift the top to adjust the temperature. I wasn't worried about low humidity this time in spite of the reading on the hygrometer because the air cells were very small up until day 18, and they still didn't look quite big enough to me. Our first ever hatch last year went beautifully, eight out of eight and they all popped right out without trouble. Every hatch since then has been not so good.

I had to peel the shell off the little bantam, he was so dry and sticky he couldn't budge after he made the initial hole. I'm not too quick to help them out, but when they are so obviously dry and stuck like that it's hard not to. There were no blood vessels visible at all and he had even pooped inside the shell.

Here are our cuties

Day 22 - Woke up this morning to a LOT of little peep peeps in there. . . My Polish chick finally hatched, but right now I have no clue which one it is.
lol.png
- It's either the blonde one or a black one that's still really wet and weak. . .

There are two more Jersey Giants zipping right now, and so far there are over 6 JGs hatched, over 3 Marans hatched, over 4 Ameraucanas hatched. . .

Things are actually coming a long pretty well.
