I have PIPPS!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited I had two failed attempts at hatching and finally broke down and bought a new incubator this is my first chicken's to hatch in it from my chicken's egg's. It is a very slow process I just wish it would hatch already!

First timer here! Started with 29 eggs that were shipped from Georgia to Southern California. All standard Cochins--Blue,Lemon Blue and Golden Laced. So far we've had 11 hatch on the 21st and 22nd day and the 12th just hatched on the 23rd day.We haven't given up yet for a few more to hatch. My wife and I have had so much fun doing this!

moved my ducklings today... one week and they are mahoosive!

Moved them outside into the garage... they not have a massive wooden box... high sides... lots of space... netting over the top and their wee heat lamp...

Missing them!!

Apprehensive about putting them in the stable for some reason... concreted up the holes... no sign of rats... patched up the door... is only a temporary home until I get a job and get them their own house...

But... they look like they are enjoying their new found space... no more cleaning my carpet and laying down newspapers which is a bonus... will just be an inconvenience to be in and out checking water and food...

Lock down today. BUT when I took the eggs from the turner and placed them on the wire I noticed 2 pips. But no signs of life. What does this mean? why would they pip early and is the whole batch doomed??? I have been very good about leaving the bator alone and doing a pretty much dry incubation.

We have 2 fuzzy butts, and 6 pips we can see!

The kids are so happy! All the neighbor kids were here to watch.
