Set 36 Jean Wade Marans last night. Should be hatching around the 29th-30th. This is my first run with my thrift store turbofan hovabator. All system checks and two day dry run have looked good. Wish me luck!

I put 17 eggs in the incubator starting on March 18 - 22. So far I have 6 hatched and 2 quitters I definitely have some learning to do...I'd like to have a chicken incubate the eggs for future.

You and me both you can't incubate as many but you get way less stress!

It's a happy hatch day for me! My daughter has been begging for silkies for years, and I finally broke down and ordered some. I set 6 silkie eggs, along 30 other eggs, for this hatch. By lockdown, I only had 1 silkie egg left. I told her not to get her hopes up too high on that one egg.

When I left for work this morning, I had one pip in an Ameraucana egg, but when I came home 3 hours later, there's the silkie chick, running around the bator! She is going to be over the moon when she gets home from school

!!

I love it when they hatch that fast. That almost never happens for me. Now I have 2 eggs pipped. It's only day 20. So eggcited!

i will join i have 27 ee crosses to hatch on the 13Th. can't wait to have some babies again. a friend of mine gave me and my son are first eggs too hatch we have 5 hens and 1 rooster 3 ee hens 2 cross hens ee cross rooster. my son is so excited to have babies again. he is 4.
