HI,
OK.Here is my story.and hopefully a little experience that may help some newer folks hang in there.
First I want to say.......why do we always think we are smarter than mother nature???????????

Tues was lock down for me.Eggs went to lockdown early Wensday morning.day 19.
Themp .OK.humdity 60.................Thursday went to the Dr............thought I could out run being sick.
Thursday after noon.comfoably tucked into a hospital bed......They did not care about my eggs.....
Sunday home....humidity 40.no pips.no sound....nada.
I have hope..I have found if a chick is going to hatch, by golly, it is not going to let a little thing like human error mess with it.
Be interesting to see what happens here.
Last hatch.nothing by day 23 and I had so many goof ups thought all were dead.
No sound, no pips, no movement.even quiet with a stethescope.
Then, 7 out of 11 hatched...........1 from the time I checked and could walk to the computor.
I don't give up till day 25 and had 1 that hatched at day 27...............
Sooooooooooo, weed the garden, change the hatch day on your calender to trick your mind............

Give them a little time and maybe it will work out...if Not join in for may,

Well, the chick that hatched about an hour ago has a big red blob hanging out of her tush, just like the one that died earlier. This one is feisty though, not weak like the other one. Is there any hope that it will retract back into her system with no repercussions?
Geezeeeeeeeeeeee.i don't know.
If you pose the question under illness thread I think you will recieve some experienced feed back.
I have read about this but hesitate to remark ..................
Good luck

Well, my April 14th chicks are coming along nicely. I now have 8 great looking little Golden Seabrights! One little freak has absolutely no tail, but we shall see what happens.
