Ideal does not sell pure Araucana or Ameraucana. They have Easter Eggers.

Araucana are a wonderful breed. The only gene you need to worry about is breeding two birds that have tufts.

Yeah there's definitely a nub there. I felt again before I put her back in her house. I was just worried aracauna because I read unfavorable things about their genes.

the defect causes them to die before they hatch. If they hatched, they are good to go.

And the defect can can be completely avoided by breeding a tufted bird to a non-tufted bird. Not all Araucanas has tufts after all.
