Here are some more pics I took today. I tried getting closer on the comb, but not sure if its the right angle. I also took a short video on my phone. It was kinda hard to do when the run is only 4ft high and Im 5'10. Plus trying to hold the phone with one hand and the chick with the other while trying spread the wings to take the video. Im surprised I didnt end up laying face down in chicken poo.
Plus here are a few extra I was curious about. At first I thought they were blood marks from the other chickens pulling out his/her feathers but its not. Its the coloring. Anyone else seen this before?
I've always heard that when there are incubation fluctuations, the cockerels are the ones to survive it. The pullet embryos are weaker. Not sure if that's true or not though.

I am wondering if the trauma from shipping is a factor also
. My incubator holds pretty steady. I hatched eggs from 2 diff sources of a diff breed and got 2 roos first hatch and 2 roos and 1 pullet(which I helped) the second. My local eggs were the best...... I guess I am going to have to build my #'s up with the small # of girls I have......
I started wondering if the *boy* embryos were more resilient....
