Araucana doesn’t fit in anywhere!!

I've got some ISA hens. I've found that as lovely they are around people they can be very problematic when it comes to integration. It took me 9 months to integrate 6 ISA hens to the rest of my flock! I've just integrated 7 10 week old marans and Araucana to the flock. They have been in a growout pen for a couple of weeks in the main run first. I've not really had any problems apart from one of the ISA's. I separated her a couple of days and she soon got the idea! They can be difficult but persevere with it. If your Araucana is happy with the chicks introduce them all together when there a bit older. Safety in numbers! Araucanas are such sweet hens.

Our Isa has had a rough time of it lately too, she grew up (from day olds to 6 months) with two other chickens who had to be rehomed as they turned out roosters.... so the pecking order is a bit whacked out.
Yes the Araucana does seem like a darling! I thought she seemed very flighty at first but is quickly calming down and enjoys a pat :love

My older Araucana always wants picking up when I go in! She is pure white but a proper scruff bag! I have 4 Araucana chicks 2 are males. I have found s home for one. He's a black Red splash and such a sweetheart. He always comes up to me wanting treats. I'm gutted he has to go but I know he will be well kept at his new home.
