Araucana Question

I am full of questions today. Are these birds rare? I just realized after researching, I have one? It looks like I cut off her butt in the pic, but I did not.

Yes they are fairly rare

Are you from the states or oversees?
Rumpless and no crest I'd guess from the states. But that bird appears to have muffs and beard instead of tufts.

Not necessarily. Better pictures would help but as @The Moonshiner pointed out a genuine Araucana should have tufts of cheek feathers like this:

She is only 12 weeks old so ill wait to see if they grow.

My friend raises chickens and she got chicks from an auction in April. They were not a specific breed but a mixture. There were some pricey pullets that came out of it.
