Araucana thread anyone?

I have a clean faced Araucana who I reckon is going to start laying soon and I am sooo excited! Can't wait to see the colour of her eggs!

Anyhoo... I thought this'd be the right place to enthuse!

She's also friendly and usually the first one to greet me.

Gosh, I wish I could remember what religion he was. I started studying it and loved it! He was ethnically Persian... but born and raised in Trinidad. He said his parents (and others) were ran out of Persia because of their religion. I'm sure it will come to me when I'm trying to fall asleep tonight!

Zoroastrianism? Bahá'í Faith?

YES!!! Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Thank you! I can sleep tonight!

I looked it up and its actually a branch of off of Buddhism. I was reading up on Kabbalah at the time (thanks to Madonna making it the "in-thing" at the time) and it was similar as far as being a peaceful, "one-love" type of faith.

If you weren't so far away in Indiana, or if this was last year, when I was working there, I totally would have picked up the meanie girl from you. I found someone locally who has Araucana for sale, but they're a 2 hour drive one way. So I'm asking for pics. I don't want to drive that far for nothing ya know?

The person coming for the hen is about 2 hours away... that's why I said "supposedly"! But, I drove 3 hours round trip to get the cockbird in my avatar. Another person who emailed me about the hen this morning is a little over an hour away. I guess when you are dealing with a rare breed its worth the drive!
