We are supposed to get snow today.![]()
It just started hailing here.We got some last night, but it turned over to rain and most of the snow went away. I was so glad it turned to full rain, so there was just slush on the road. We're supposed to turn back into snow this afternoon and get snow all night though. Gonna be a fun commute in the morning.

That’s awesome news! I’ve always heard that mottled chickens get more mottling with age. I’ve also heard the same thing said about Speckled Sussex.Well, something really weird but neat came to my attention this morning. My one and only bantam Lil Girl started molting a few weeks ago. As a chick she showed ZERO signs of mottling; she was coal black. She came out of the coop this morning and I see all these white dots on her. I'm thinking, "what the heck is on her?". Nothing - her feathers are growing back mottled!!! I will get a picture when she is done molting. This gives me hope for the ones that were mottled as chicks and lost their mottling with age.
