Araucana thread anyone?

Lanae - I keep trying to look your town up on google maps to get my parents directions. It insists that Willits CA is this little region over in Spain. Wondering just HOW far my parents would go to get these Araucana for me....

Willits is North of Santa Rosa on Hwy 101 about 1.5 hrs. It is 3 hrs North of San Francisco on Hwy 101. Depending on when they were heading to see you, I could probably meet them somewhere to cut down on their drive time. I may be able to send them to a friends in Antioch which is probably closer, depending on if my friend comes to see me before then.

It is so incredibly beautiful where I live, but most days I wish I lived in Spain. LOL!

I was fooled AGAIN by these people who can't tell Araucanas and Ameraucanas apart! I always see on the local classifieds "Free Araucana hens!" "Araucana chicks for sale" And I'm the first one to call hoping to get an Araucana but when I go, It's just boring Ameraucanas....

If they are advertising them as araucanas then they definately arn't ameraucanas either. They will be easter eggers.

I keep eyeing the double tufted wheaten chick on sky blue eggs site, but it is most likely a roo and that I don't need.

I am kicking around putting some of my blue tufted chicks on there and my cleanfaced ones most likely. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Nothing like be wishy washy. LOL!

Lanae, from the way it's feathered in so far I'd say it looks like it's going to be a pullet...

My W/BW Ameraucana pullets typically look that way when they start getting their first feathers.
