ETA: Could someone post a pic of a lav and a pic of a blue so I can understand the difference better? I've read that lavender is darker, and I've read that it is lighter tha the blue. So confusing.

Where have you read that lavender is lighter? It is not. The lightest blues can be about the same shade as lavender, but they have darker head & hackles (and saddle on males), whereas lavenders should be one uniform shade everywhere.

Don't be jealous, think about all work we had to do..... new coops for all the different hatches...new coops for the tufted ones 'cause the untufted ones were jealous and plucked 'em. All the ones you dare to name before they are a week old.

The one in my avatar. He was Spunky Monkey. First to run over and grab any treats from me. Was always first and in front. I woke up went to them found poor Spunky. I had my heart broken again.

Thanks to both Smoothmule, and Ray_n_Debi !!! I have eggs coming from 2 different flocks. Should all be here by this weekend for a mass incubation !! Yay !!! May baby buttless birdies abound !! And btw... I LOVE this forum !!!
