Pullet. My best pullets had the strongest personalities. The roos tend to be a whole lot sweater than the pullets in my opinion.

But, man what a surprise to see that chicken on the front! I always thought my Elsinor was a mishmash color, but she looks an awful lot like a Mille Fleur (which I always thought was a breed, not a color). My Elsie's silver dots are smaller and a darker silver than in the photo, and she's no showbird by any stretch, that's for sure. I'm just tickled that her pattern has a name. What a great way to end the month.
Well, I'm off to get an estimate on my car's hurricane damage...

Thank you for asking cackleberrycoop. I do have 3 rumpless mutt Araucanas that I hatched from e-bay eggs. They are too young for me to know if they are hens or roos. A black one with kind of golden neck feathers, a red one, and then we also have cracky..... I think it is a wheaten as far as coloring, but it is the most pitiful little chicken I've ever seen. Smallest in our flock, and scared of its own shadow.. And has kind of a vestigal tail nub.. I think its mother must have been a meth addict.. None have tufts.. And we also have 2 RiR, 8 Austrolorps, 6 silver duckwing Phoenix, 1 Maran, all from this years hatchings. I guess I didn't think I had enough chickens yet, so we will be starting incubating again this weekend. lol Wish me luck. As I understand it, I've picked one of the more difficult chickens for hatching eggs, as far as fertility and viability goes. I have almost 40 eggs coming... Am I about to be over run you think?

Guess I better start on "another" new coop. lol

I live alone so it isn't a huge issue on being allowed

I was just in the bathroom with them because of the better light conditions to take shots of their leg color. Couldn't resist a few other pictures! They did poop once or twice, but on the tile floor. Nothing a quick baby wipe can't handle! I don't let 'em run free in the house, as awesome as that would be if they were diapered, since a dog I am watching for my parents would try and make any chicken D-E-D, dead!

Lanea I promise to get some good photos tomorrow morning ASAP.

Well, I've got several pips tonight!

I'm expecting some silver or golden duckwing Araucanas, hopefully at least one will be bilaterally tufted and rumpless.
