Araucana thread anyone?

color mostly. The first one looks like a patchwork quilt with splotches of brown all over the place, sure sign of roo when they look like that. The second one is pretty uniform in color and is what I expect a blue breasted red pullet to look like. Three is a birchen-esque pullet, where they will have gold leakage on the neck but no where else. Same for # 4. The last one is getting gold on his wing bows which is a roo color. Hens don't have that.

Ditto to what Cashdl said.

The first one will be a very nice, pretty Gold Duckwing.

It is a terrible picture but, I could not catch him so I rounded him up into the corner of the pasture and snapped this quick shot

This boy above is my adopted son. He's soo mellow and very gentle with the ladies. I love his bright white color even though he is really dirty!!! lol

And I think her poppa was my black roo. Does that sound right?

Silver Duckwing w/ Columbian (and likely melanizer, making her a "Quail" colored bird) and a very dark variation of Silver Duckwing.

Remind me again who your black boy is? If he has any other color on him but black it makes perfect sense. If he's solid straight up black, then, well, I'm surprised.
