Araucana thread anyone?

She did email me back and her reply was " Thank You", so I invited her to join the Araucana Club of America. I don't mind her ad other than I wish it listed under Araucana/Americana then people would know they were mixes. The black star pictures are misleading because she doesn't explain them in her ad. Only says free black star eggs included. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that she is trying to be open and genuine with her potential customers.

No where in her ad does she state they are Araucana/Americana mixs either. A person would have to know the difference to not get taken for a ride.

I just checked my incubator. I have 6 eggs from my duckwing pen set to hatch this week and they all were moving today. Yeah! So far anyway. These are the first out of my new pen. I am sooo excited.

So I feel almost embarrassed when I interrupt a chicken while she is laying an egg! That glare, it is so angry! BUT I did intrude on my lil tufted and rumpless cuckoo girl in the process of laying her egg. I left for a few minutes, and once she popped out of the pop door, picked up her perfect little egg! It isn't a true blue egg, but is the most blue of all the eggs laid, only a little bit on the green spectrum. Very happy for my lil girl!

Pokey, we would love it if you posted pics. We are probably getting tired of our own pics. LOL! If you have any buff bantam photos, I would be most appreciative. It is hard to find a buff photo. I am particulary looking for a buff roo picture.

Everyone says, " Just look at a buff in any other breed", its simply not the same.

I forgot to say what pic was what....the first pic is the buff whatever hen.she has small tufts and most of the time someone picks them off.second is the roo, and I was really happy to see he shines even in the dark .and the last is the whole group.the white hen is tiny but healthy.
