Araucana thread anyone?

Thanks Stacy,

I am definately feel feisty. LOL! And I can't seem to spell correctly either.

I made sure that I posted my entire conversation with her including her original ad, even though I felt that my tone of typing could have been better and didn't put me in a great light, because I wanted all to see the intent in all the words of our conversation. We will just have to wait and see what she sells next. Because I am feeling uncharitible, I think her next ad will have only araucanas pictured, but still be mixed breed bird eggs. So there. My bad.

no, i agree with you about posting pictures of the actual birds producing the hatching eggs. that only makes sense. i'm not sure what s/he is going on that front.

She keeps trying to defend her pictures, saying she can't add anymore. Just take out the black star pics, they are not relevant to her Araucana ad. Yes she is giving away free black star eggs but the ad if for the sale of Araucana eggs. Now the other birds pictured are not araucana either. And just because hatcheries do something does not make it right for someone who knows better to do the same thing. Her emails to me proved that she knows what she has.

So how about changing the title of her ad. Araucana/Americana hatching eggs, just like others do. They won't sell thats why. Also if she takes out the black star photos she will then have room to post pics of her tufted rumpless birds.

i didn't accuse anyone of anything. i said 'i hope not'. i read what you said, and found the ad on my own. obviously. did you read what i wrote? drop the 'tude. it's not cute. you get a gold star for being an advocate, but it may get snatched away. don't hurt your own cause. more flies with sugar and all that....

someone will wind up with bearded araucana like mine. Now this was a bird I intentionally hatched just to see the results. I don't think you should sell a araucana and ameracana mix as solely araucana. It is very misleading.that person should advertise the birds as mixed period.

Yep, I ended up with some bearded and muffed birds too, from "Araucana" eggs from eBay. The pictures I asked for in an email showed tufted, rumpless birds. But I got duped when they hatched. At least someone locally will definitely be enjoying their EEs, who should be laying by now.

I thought she was totally cute with her beard, I was going to try for a beard AND tufts.....

but she died during one of the days where the heat index was 107. Oddly her mother died the year before during a very hot spell. So that ended that little science project.

Aww, sorry for your loss. That would be cool, to get a bird who is muffed, tufted, bearded, aaaaaaaand crested (like a polish!) I think. Might be too ridiculously fluffy, though!

Yep, I read your post, even commented on it. If you weren't giving us a hassle about some slight the ebayer felt was directed at her, why even bring it to our attention and say you hoped we weren't giving her flack. Your comment seemed to me like you were chastising us and me for not handling this properly.

I did try to get my question posted to her ad. Only she can do that. And yes I did want to truly help the buyer.

And actually its not just my cause, it is an issue that all Araucana breeders deal with on a regular basis.

Heres my tude as you so kindly put it. I don't need a gold star, whether it is snatched away or not. I brought it to the attention of those here on this forum, because this ad has been mentioned on other forums and since my qestions and the ebayers answers did not get posted to her add, I wanted others to be aware of it.

And why would it matter if anyone was giving her flack anyway. From all the evidence ( her emails to me ) she knew what she had and choose not to reflect it in her ad wording untill others pointed it out to her, not just myself.

Oh and by the way, I am way to old to be cute.
