He has his eye and that Isa Brown hen. I think he will perform just fine. LOL! He is just thinking about what pick up line to use.

there's a pick up line?! Most of my roosters throw themselves at the hens and hope for good results! what starts off as a burst of feathers half the times ends with the hen walloping the roo lol. oh and funniest attempt ever!? my little araucana boy thought the big exhibition type buff orpington hen would be a good sport, i hear a ruckus come upfront of the barn, and there is the little araucana roo holding on to the back of her head and riding this big buff as she squawks and runs around the barn.... new sport maybe? buff surfing?

My araucana roos dance and sing for their girls attention, and if that doesn't work they pretend they found a juicy bug, sing and hoot excitedly and wait for one of the more intellectually challenged girls to wander into their range.

Sounds like mine. That and they walk up behind an unexpecting girl, raise up their hackles in hopes she'll squat. If she doesn't they're good gentlemen and let it go, try some other time.

Although this guy here is just learning how to lose his virginity, so, things aren't so smooth and gentle.

I've got a Buff Ameraucana hen who is the favorite target of everyone and now him. Poor girl just seems to let things happen, and she's very quickly getting ratty looking. I need a hen saddle fast.

Oh and here's my one and only Araucana chickie that hatched out. Tiny little tuft, hope you can see it, but so far this little 'un is just feathering out white. The white may be the beginning/tips to Wheaten, or I may actually have a white or pyle chick here.

Seeing those white feather shafts though has me thinking either this chick is white, some sort of pale barred color, or, something not wheaten. Wheatens normally have little blackish blue quills.
