Araucana thread anyone?

Who on our thread is from michigan? I'm looking for (in order of preference) a solid black(no bleed) tufted(need not be perfect, just existent lol) rumpless rooster, blue tufted rumples rooster (no bleed), or a black or blue breasted red tufted rumpless rooster.

I wish I could help. I have a double tufted and rumpless blue cockerel, but he's got bleed through on his wings. Plus, I may be in Michigan, but I am far from the lower peninsula!

I will keep you in mind but transport would likely be a big problem lol. I suspect he will have a fair bit of color on him as he matures, but he does have wonderful tufts!

Yea, you probably have a pretty good chance of finding someone closer with what you need, given how far I am. I'll hang onto him for a bit. What are your flock goals? Almost all of my birds are blue and black, with one splash rooster and one weird girl (posted earlier on post 6723 in this thread). My goal is blue/black/splash, since I love the colors and also the genetics are quite predictable.

I have 2 flocks really, a blue/black/splash flock and a blue red flock. I've got to eliminate the bleed in males on my blue/black/splash flock, and the blue reds need tufts lol.

Blue reds like this pullet? If she would be useful in your flock, and we can ever find a way to get her to you, I'd be more than happy to part with her. I just don't travel down below the bridge anymore. I'm the main caretaker of my grandmother, who was recently admitted to a nursing home. So getting away was hard before, now impossible.

It's 4am. I just killed a fat male opossum in my backyard. I happened to be awake and heard an abnormal squawk. There are barred feathers every where in to coop. I am guessing he got at least one. I have scared chickens spread out in the yard. It is dark of course and I was able to get several put back up. I won't know for sure until this weekend when I can spend some time with them in the day light to see what the damage was. With these short days, it is dark before I get home.
