out the tails...
Have you tried the Araucana Breeders Club of America's breeder list?
Which variety are you looking for?[/quote]
Well definitely LF. As for colors I'm greedy and love them all. But we mostly have BBS and some imperfect silver duckwings. The big issue right now is the tufts. Out of 25 birds we only have a handful of tufted and none of those are roos unless the 8 in the incubator give us a nicely tufted guy.
We have looked at the breeders list but I was hoping I guess for websites with lots of pics to lurk through before choosing the right one. There are only 2 big sites I have found and both of those are so far from us. I can't bear the thought of those birds making a cross country journey through post. Ive experienced what the post does to eggs.
Also just as important to us as the breed being true is that they come from a good home. I know that sounds kind of silly but even the rejects from the breeding group are special here. We spend hours handfeeding and talking and petting and fretting over them. I don't want to buy from just anyone you know? Just like getting a puppy you don't want one from a puppymill you want it to come from a loving caring place as well as have pedigree.
