Araucana thread anyone?

Little Ashoka lays greenish as well. I was rather disappointed by it, but it is what it is. I still don't have any blue layers.

ETA... part of why I'm really wanting at least a couple of these eggs to hatch. They're coming from predominantly blue eggs. Well, besides the two barnevelder eggs. LOL.

I need to candle again to see where we're at.

When are the Araucana eggs due to hatch?

2.5 Weeks. I'm gonna go out tonight and candle them again to see what I have. She gave them to me for free because she hadn't trimmed bum feathers and didn't want to guarantee fertility. We'll see what we have going on.

I never trim araucanas and I had 100% fertile eggs. out of 6, 5 hatched and 1 died in shell because of the lethal gene.

I had trimmed my blue hen before I added the cockerel to her, only because I had her in hand dusting for mites I figured I might as well go ahead. However, neither Mano or his hens are trimmed and I had fertility in all 3 within 2 weeks.
