Araucana thread anyone?

She had better ship them then!
:rantSo I checked Facebook for my tracking number(which is the only way to get in contact with her) and she posted chicks for sale 20 minutes ago saying, "can ship today". Which tells me she hasn't been to the post office yet and it's 3:40 PM!!! :he
Why does everything have to be so difficult?!

I was going to point that out to you... I can't imagine somebody on the small side (aka not a hatchery making tons of money) would risk a reputation! Especially in the relatively small araucana community!

Also, @Brahma Chicken5000 I haven't checked. I'm afraid to. We have about another week to go.

I know, right?!
So I got my tracking number last night...you would think an Express shipment would go from Toledo, OH straight to Indy, right? Oh no no... it went to DETROIT! Last tracking update was it leaving Detroit at 4:00 am. The truck leaves Indy for my local PO at 6:00 am, so if it isn't brought up on a second truck later I won't get them until tomorrow. GRRR!!!

wow! Just... wow. Will a heat pad keep the eggs warm that long? or do they come warm?

No, you definitely don't want them warm. I believe hatching eggs shouldn't get above 65 degrees before setting. Temp wise they will be okay...I just don't want them sitting around deteriorating an extra day (especially when I've been throwing away my own eggs I've been saving to hatch with hers).
