I had a small photo shoot with the kids last night. Still trying to think of names...
First, our GDW cockerel... is there any doubt he's a boy? LOL

The first of the project colors, and also the youngest/smallest. I think this one is 3 weeks, as opposed to the others being 4. The only thing that concerns me, is that Ann said this is from her salmon project, and she thought it was a pullet. But, with salmon chickens, aren't the cockerels dark? Like this?

Finally, the other project color. This one is from Rex, her BBR x White Cockerel, and a Salmon pullet... So curious over what she's gonna turn out to look like!

Donald my mottled passed away this afternoon. That loss was really hard on me. I really thought he/she was going to make it. S/he was 2 weeks old today.![]()
How is everyone's Araucanas doing?
I once again tried to remove the two foot of fence separating Mama and Ratchet. STILL this is happening:
This goes on ALL DAY LONG! To the point they both have bloody faces and collapse from exhaustion.
Blue's double tufted blue mate started laying again after randomly taking a week off. I'm going to check fertility in her egg today, and Bluebell (with Cholo). The clean faced blue in with Blue boy has fertile eggs. In Triton's pen (the triple tufted cock) one out of three hens are showing fertility. I just don't know who is laying what. I doubt its the BBR (because that's the one I want to be fertile) and she has a lot of butt fluff that needs trimmed.
