Thanks for the offer, but at this point I'm looking more for quality than quantity. It's normal for me to pay $15 - $30ish +/per unsexed chick for my desired breeds.

Like I always say, costs the same to raise a common breed versus a rare breed. Takes the same amount of time to grow them out. Amount is the same for feed to grow out the same to grow out quality chicks versus DQ non-standard chicks. Might as well make it an effort to grow out the better quality stock, even if it means waiting?

Still waiting on pretty blue eggs. The week from Hell hit everyone hard though and I have 5 of my 9 birds currently healing from their feet getting frost bite. 3 of the male's and 1 of the females look like they'll pull through, but the other pair are still uncertain. As long as their feet don't die, they'll be okay, but it's still a waiting game to see if the foot dies or just some toes

araucanas here still don't lay. no frost here but it seems they have been on strike. silkies did not lay all summer as well.
