Araucana thread anyone?

So, there went my plans for the day; I was going to get so much accomplished around the property but here I am obsessing about leg color - and about to go out of my mind!!!!!! What the heck is willow leg color? I thought it was sort of a buff, light pinkish, sort of color, but when I go to the Araucana web sight, I see birds who are supposed to have Willow leg color with everything that looks on my computer screen from a light green through slate, to the color I had originally thought was Willow. If I look on line, it's even worse; I have found every color imaginable labeled "Willow." Please, if you can, HELP!

Suessie's eggs have been about the same size with a graded size between medium and large. She never or I never found any "fart" eggs from her.

Willow legs are green with yellow underneath.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Some major pieces of the puzzle - big ol' honkin pesky pieces that never would fit in right, are suddenly falling into place!!!!!!! O.K. I have to go contemplate for a while.

You've built her a beautiful coop with a lovely run and she is, of course, on the roof.

Gotta love 'em. She is beautiful! She looks like an Easer Egger with a lot of Ameraucana blood in her, maybe even a non-standard Ameraucana. Araucanas are supposed to be rumpless and have tufts. From the photo there, it looks like your girl has a bread and muffs?

Good picture of Seussie, and I know others would say its not possible for them to lay that many eggs in one day, but I know for a fact I was getting 2 large eggs from my one Leghorn hen, so know it to be possible. You might want to keep an eye on her if she would have any problems or look like she's having any problems laying eggs, that' the only thing I'd be concerned about for her sake.

Just roughly going thru the posts on leg color for Blue, in the Large Fowl the Blue isn't an approved color, but in the Bantams it is, so I think I'd check out the Bantams information for coloring. If you go to www.araucana.net you will be able to find the information for coloring on both the Bantams and the Large Fowl. Pretty sure you'll like the site its totally geared to Araucanas and has alot of good information. For the Ameraucanas in the Links section of the Araucana Clubs site is also the link for the Ameraucana Club and it has oodles of good pictures. As far as leg color goes I don't fret it, the legs can change colors up to about 4 months of age.
