Araucana thread anyone?

That is awesome. I got two free white roos also. YUK!! But one is beautiful with georgous tufts and so sweet. The other has a huge comb, no tufts and bit me today. I mean really!! I was putting the food in as fast as I could.

I am going to throw the white tufted one a couple of my crested muffed project birds and hope for rumpless, crested, tufted, muffed. The other white one and I are still in negotiations.

I am sooo happy for you. Isn't it crazy sometimes what we do for the love of these birds.

Its hard to get what you want sometimes. I'm one of those people who want to breed blues, and i cannot find true blues if my life depends on it! There are blue cuckoos, blue with cold, blue with silver, heck i;ve seen blue with red even. Splash are just as confusing to me. I see some that look like splash duckwing, and colors i cannot fathom a name for. i suppose that is part of the fun of it, the availability of colors. I'm looking for blues, so i figure if i can get some good blacks and some blues or splashes or both then i can work on breeding some good blues out for myself. Who knows, by the time i get something i'm content with, maybe they will be an accepted color haha

I have ONE bird that can be used in a blue breeding program. . .

But I don't have any clean blacks to use. I culled all my blacks because they had gold on them. But otherwise, this splash is guaranteed no gold leakage - My gold leaky Splashes are actually pretty plain looking, they're mostly white with bits of yellow and occasional blue/black feathers.

And no, this isn't a Splash Cuckoo. . . Though she looks similar, she isn't.

Speaking of blue and red. . . One cockerel I must admit was a GORGEOUS guy but I culled anyway was this one. . .

I have 1 really nice blue roo. No leakage at all. He is double tufted. I am trying to get him to give me some fertile eggs but nothing in months. I am thinking of changing girls out and maybe that will spark his interest.

I think the cuckoo Araucana is just beautiful, I want some of them, do you have any eggs for sale, or chicks, my problem is, is that I'am in Alabama, and you would have to ship, I'am not sure where your from, but your chickens are just beautiful, I have Black Copper Marans in the incubator right now, but I'am wanting Araucana's to.
