Araucana thread anyone?

Anyone else, besides my husband, think I spend too much time playing with my chicks?

I printed up some scenery for a backdrop to put in my photo box (which is just a 12 inch square styrofoam box).

hi all i have 3 very healthy chicks

But am leaving other eggs in bator for a couple more days, just in case.

My hubby has been talking about buying the property across the road..just to have room for my chicks..He says he may have to to get our yard back..
Now I have another baby squirrel and she doesn't have her eyes open, yet.

Steve Waters posted on the araucana forum that he has some excellent black bantams for sale. This would be a good opportunity for anyone interested in exhibition quality araucana.

The only two lavs I got from the eBay araucana eggs are definitely tailed. Kind of a buzzkill, but hey, nothing is perfect and even with tails they will be very pretty! I am very sure that the seller isn't breeding lav to lav, since I got two black chicks from the four eggs total that hatched from them. I know self blue to self blue always results in self blue, so I am guessing the little black chicks are black split to lavender. No wonder they said color wasn't guaranteed!

If the two lavenders are hens they will be kept. I am pretty sure some of my four weekers that are tufted and rumpless are also male, which is great since only roos I want to keep around are tufted n rumpless!
