My thoughts are to cross to Wheaten Ameraucanas.
Yes, there are issues with leg and skin color, but it is a blue egg layer, and they are available to work with.
Then again, tails, rumplessness, beards vs. tufts, it will be a good project to take on as a challenge.
I do have wheaten araucana so I am good. Black Breasted Reds for the araucana do need to be wheaten based and phenotypically like the cubalaya black breasted reds. SOP trumps all and the SOP describes a bird that is wheaten in the females.
