We may soon have new members to our little forum here.  The Ebayers have been in contact and are super eager to learn about Araucana.  They seem like really nice people.  They have taken down their ads and want to make sure they get the real thing.  So when they pop up here lets help them out.  They are in Indiana.  Are any of us close to them geographically speaking?

I'm in Ohio, so it depends on where in Indiana. Where do all of us hail from?

Some have it listed in their signature, others don't.

Illia,
Have you ever seen any that were black or dark blue with faint cream striping like the chipmunk striping? I have one that , when you're just looking straight down at it, the stripes are a lot like the tan chipmunk striped chicks only this one is black with faint cream stripes and black in the middle of the back. No hint of red or tan.

It's hard to get the lighting and angle just right to show what I'm seeing.

My latest hatch has been the best so far this year. 12 of 14 eggs hatched, 10 are double tufted/rumpless. I'm so anxious for the next ones I have due and the ones after that. Plus, I have 3 dozen being incubated by my son's fiancee's brother so I may be over run soon

Pretty sure that's just a black who's skin is showing through. I used to think my BCM chicks had the same odd striping, often only seen after so old and under bright light, but I'm pretty sure it is just less dense fluff there, especially considering the hips are there.

Congrats big time on the hatch!

Illia, that may be, I have others with light underfluff but this one, looking down at it, is chipmunk striped only black and cream. Very distinct in person. Wish I could capture it better. It's very obvious in person but it's been hard to capture it in a photo to look the same as I see it looking in the box.

That is an incredible hatch! Good numbers and I have never seen so many tufts all together in the brooder box before!!!! Very nice indeed.
