Sorry to intrude but I really want to buy a tufted rumpless Araucana female chick in the spring. I was wondering if anyone could possibly sell me one in spring, this is for my FFA project by the way. I want to show it at the Grandview and Yakima fairs next year. If any one is will to sell a only one or knows someone who will sell one to me that would be great.
Sorry agane for getting everyone off topic.
15Shenyl,
I'd be happy to but I see you're in an area where there are breeders so I'm sure you can find someone close enough you won't have to pay shipping. I'm in SW Missouri
Thanks Hennessey! I spent my teenage years in 4-H with my trusty old Morgan cross oldster (she was well over 20 yo) and a colt project. I feel very thankful for 4-H because it kept me busy and out of trouble. IF I have any promising "show quality" youngsters according to group consensus here, I will be looking for youth who are interested in showing them. The price will be very affordable for serious 4-H or FFA youth interested in the breed.
Thanks so much! You have no idea how hard it's been to find one. This was the orgional breed I wanted, but I got Salmon Faverolles because this was, and still is, my SAE project for FFA. I am so happy that I can get one of the breeds I want to show. Thank you so so much!
I have a tailed pullet with this exact same coloring! Someone brought in a batch of EE chicks to the store and the coloring on the one I have stood out as a chick. The folks that brought them in said they had a rumpless smooth faced EE they got from the feed store and bred her to some of their other mutt birds to get the chicks they brought in. I was going to use her in an EE project with a bearded boy, but now that I am going to bet getting a tufted rooster from Cathy, I plan to breed her to him and see what comes out
