My EE's are not laying well but my Araucanas are laying full steam ahead!
I have young 7 mth old EE as well as 20 month olds and I am getting one egg a day from 8 girls. Some have just molted but those young ladies should be laying by now. One is but those others are starting to look tasty and I told them so. Unfortunately, that threat has not worked.
But my Araucanas always lay well and they are putting them out nicely. No lights here in my part of SC. I do not force my girls to lay if their body says no. My laying flock of about 70 hens is giving me about 4 dz a day and some of them are molting as well.
