Ha! I pretty much said the same thing you just did. I get them for the personalitiy and I am going to start breeding them by spring(hopefully). Absolutely--I have some purebred Ameraucanas, but the Easter Eggers honestly lay prettier eggs. Gorgeous deep greens with brown speckles, pale sky blue, clear turquoise... my Ameraucana eggs can't match them.And the thing is, you'll most likely get colored eggs, which is really what most of us want from these types of birds, right?
