ardmore oklahoma chickens

Hello,

I live just outside the city limits of Ardmore, Oklahoma and i cant find what the rules are. If anybody knows anything about it that would help but if not i guess i could go talk to somebody in town. I live in a neighborhood that currently doesnt allow chickens, but assuming i can either change or get around that, i just want to make sure i dont run into city problems.

First, Welcome to BYC. As to your questions with the city if you're just outside the city limits their ordinances shouldn't be any concern. A city's code enforcement ends at the city limit. I doubt that Carter County has any restrictions but your HOA is another story. If your HOA has specific rules about keeping chickens you'll have to take that up with them. My experiences haven't been great with getting them to change the rules but it never hurts to try.
