Are ‘late bloomers’ a thing?

Hey everyone! I had a small flock of 8 Australorps 12 weeks old. On Sat we surrendered 5 roos. They all had lovely roo tails and big red wattles and combs - 2 or 3 were crowing. I put a post on a FB page about how peaceful things seem to be with just the 3 girls now and I have had a few comments that 2 of my girls look like late blooming boys. But there were distinct differences between the 5 roos and these 3. So, here are some pics of the 3 ‘girls’ and I’ve included one of the boys for comparison. The girls are approaching 13 weeks. Thoughts? Ta.

Yes, late bloomers are a thing. The one in the last picture is definitely a cockerel.

The last pic was for comparison . I have read that Australorps generally don’t have ‘late bloomers’?

Late bloomers can happen with any breed, maybe except the Cornish X.

They look like pullets so far.

I guess I’ll know for sure I’m coming weeks. I was very confident given there were definite boys - easy to compare against eachother. But now the boys are gone I don’t have that direct comparison advantage haha.
