Do you know what hatchery this farm store sources their chicks from?

Hoover Hatchery. I've bought from them directly in the past before, as well and didn't have good luck. Will never buy anything from them again.

Most of their "breeds" aren't breeds, but mixed breeds. Hard saying what all is in the mix, but these are definitely mixed breeds.

How old are they? If they are around 12 weeks or under, the last two are cockerels. Second one definitely is.

I'm not sure what their breed is, but I am going to say that all three are cockerels. I'm almost for sure that the second one is, he has a lot of comb development. For the first one, I'm leaning more on the pullet side but there is still a chance of it being a male.

Most hatchery sexed chicks have a 90% accuracy rate. I would say buying 30 and only getting 3 males is spot on. Pretty lucky actually.

These are only 3 that I'm asking about in this thread. The actual ratio of cockerels to pullets is working out to be more like 70% cockerel.

if the ratio is that high and they were supposed to be pullets, I'd see if I could get my money back. hopefully you can come up with a plan for those roosters, or have space for a bachelor pad
