ARE BANTAMS QUIET?

I have Silkies, D'Uccles and Old English and they are much quieter than my standard hens. The ony time mine get noisy is if another hen messes with their chicks. My standard hen's "egg song" can be heard all the way up at the house even with the windows closed. I never hear the banties.

The roosters crow much quieter and less often than the standards. It sounds like you can't have roosters at all if noise is an issue and the only place that sexes bantams is My Pet Chicken. So if you get bantams, you run the risk of getting attached and having to rehome the roos. Keep that in mind.
