Are bees a danger?

Hello, everyone.

I have been letting my quail out when the weather is nice, but there are a LOT of bumble bees. Bee stings cause swelling. Could a bee kill one of my hapless eat-anything-that-moves quail if stung in the face or throat?

Sorry if it's a silly question, I have seen what bees can do to a curious dog's nose.

I don’t think so 🤔, surely their feathers would protect against bee stings, and I’m sure quail would know better than to eat bees, our chickens don’t, even if one flies right by.
I'm worried about a sting mid-swallow and their little throats swelling closed! Maybe those black and yellow warning colors mean more to them than they do to curious dogs

So far I've seen the quail eat frogs, centipedes, giant, angry spiders, slugs, WHOLE snails and squirrel turds. I've heard of coturnix quail killing and eating baby finches, though I've never seen it. They're not very choosy, at least mine aren't

My quail are terrified of bees, wasps and hornets. There is a hornets nest right next to the aviary and nobody ever tried to catch one. I think it is a little bit of instinct they have left.

You have nothing to worry about. If you see any nests in their coop or around their run, you can safely remove them if you want but no they will not go after your chickens and your chickens will not go after the bees.
