are black sex links noisy?

i just wanted to know as i have leghorns and they are very noisy and I have some sexlinks that are 2 months and are gonna be my future layers,just wondering if they are quiet or not??

Well I can't speak for the entire breed but... We have six of them and they are pretty great! They are friendly and lately have proven themselves as our best winter layers. As for the noise in our group they are quieter than the EE's and the Andy's. They will definately be a breed that we will continue to raise in future flocks.

how noisy are we talking about? We've got Orpingtons and young EEs (14 weeks) that don't hardly seem to make any noise unless you are right next to the coop (or the dog is).

My black sex links are my quietest hens....quieter than my orphingtons, RIRs, and wyandottes.

My neighbors have two and one is extremely yacky.

Mine have a lot to say when I go out to see them but it isn't very loud. It is like they are filling me in on what has been going on since I last checked on them.
