I am on my first batch ever of chicks that I've raised. I have been really slow on the uptake of who's a boy and who's a girl, but I feel like I am getting the hang of it. The thing is, while I know one of my Wyandottes is a rooster, I would bet the other one is too, and they are the same age and look so different to me. I don't understand!

Here they are (taken today):
He's a rooster for sure!

I'm convinced he is too, but his comb is tiny, his tail and coloring are different, and he's not as "solid".

So a part of me is in denial. Can anyone confirm?

Yep, they're both cockerels. See the shiny iridescent tail feathers? Those are sickle feathers, the are rounded, pullets and hens don't have them.

Well, thanks. I have the larger one re-homed, he'll be picked up tomorrow. Now to start all over with the other. I can't have roosters in town, and they keep sneaking up on me.

Well, thanks to the confirmation from you all, I have already found him a home. On the plus side, now I can get another hen!
