I have a year old SLW hen, and she was sold to me as a pure SLW. But she looks to be a mix, she has really bad lacing and has a much bigger comb and wattle. What breed do you think she is crossed with? Also have a look at her tail… it’s different to my other wyandottes.

Has she laid any eggs? There's definitely something off about Her...

No, she’s a female. She has laid many eggs and hatched her own babies, unless a cockerel can lay and hatch eggs then she is a hen. I have now sold her because she isn’t breeder quality. I’m pretty sure she just wasn’t pure.

If she is from a hatchery or farm store, then it is just variability of color pattern. If from a backyard breeder then she may be a mix, but it's impossible to say what the other parent was without more information on the original flock.

No she was from a backyard breeder near me, but I think she was just bad quality.
