Many years ago I got some New Hampshires from a hatchery that looked like these. I'm guessing they could be New Hampshires. Those were the meanest roosters I've ever had! I could not walk into the chicken area without at least one attacking me, and it was common that two would try to take me at once, sometimes three. By the time they were three months, it started to not feel very good. They got butchered at a far earlier age than I anticipate they would. I didn't feel bad about not having any roosters either. The hens were okay (only a few would attack me occasionally). It wasn't long before I didn't have the breed any longer. I've been afraid to get into the breed again because of that. In fact, I won't even buy Rhode Islands because of that bad experience.
