ARE buff or red silkies agressive?

I’ve read a few places that the red or buff coloured silkies are aggressive birds, not at all like the whites and blacks Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

I don't know where you read this.
Red, or Buff Silkies are just like all other Silkies, but just a different color.
It depends on the bird itself.

I had an extremely aggressive red silkie, but he was a rooster, and all roosters can be aggressive, so I can't help you on this one. I can't imagine a silkie being very mean though

Thanks! That makes more sense to me! One place I remember it stating that was on Rochester Hatcheries.

I've had different silkies over the years and personality has nothing to do with color. One pair of black Silkies were very close and sweet and then I had a pair of White Showgirls and the female was a bit hostile. But most of my Silkies of any color were very sweet.

It really does come down to individual birds personality along with how it's raised VS colour. I have a buff and she's a total sweetheart. I used to have a white that was very skittish, didn't like people at all. but I also have a white currently who is pretty chill.

I'm pretty sure most Silkies are sweet regardless of color.
