Yes they are that big. My hens are huge too. Big ol fluffy fannies too.

My BO chick is easily 1/4 larger than her australorp brooder mate. I was certain she was a he just b/c of the size diff!

Anway, a big thing with them is smut, which is dark spots on their lovely buff feathers. I'm pretty sure its a DQ. Also, since they are light, they need baths. PM me if you don't know how to bathe them. Then there's just nail trimming, etc.

I love orps, I guess when it comes to chickens, I like big butts and I cannot lie!
