Are Call Ducks difficult to hatch??

I had a call duckling keep flipping on his back, if left for any amount of time can this harm them? I woke up every hour through thhe night just to check on him and now wish I had seen the bowl and papertowel info. I stayed home too cancelled all appt. and everything.

My flipper passed away sadly. Thats why I was wondering if maybe he was on his back too long before I found him and flipped back on his belly, cause shortly after he passed. I have spent all week hatching out four calls and how exhausting but worth it. I have to stay up and keep an eye on flipping and duckling getting stuck in the egg and so on and so forth. Plus I have been dealing with cold weather and people wanting eggs. What makes me upset is people ordering hatchinh eggs and then not showing up or returning texts, call, and emails, after you have spent the time collecting, and turning, and then turning away people who want them. I went and bought another incubator just so they won't go to waste.

Hi from Ireland!
I have just started to incubate some call duck eggs here and I'm about 12 days in. I have been turning them 3 times a day and they seem to be growing well. The only thing is I have just read that it is important to turn them clockwise and then anticlockwise and alternate like this for the duration of the incubation. I am a bit worried because I have only been turning them one way. Is this detrimental to their survival? Any light someone could shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
