I built my girls a bigger run so I don't have to free range anymore. when our husky is out the chickens are locked in their pen also husky is not out with out supervision. When chickens are out the husky is locked in the house. This way the chickens stay safe. I have clipped wings and they can still jump 4-5 feet in the air. I would either make the dog run 6 foot high or keep the chickens in their pen or if you do free range free range late in the after noon so they will coop up in a few hours and lock your husky up in the house or garage some where safe. Do not let the chickens out to free range while the dog is in its pen they will try and see whats in there. Good luck.
