are chickens smart enough to go under a windbreak towel

I was thinking of putting a towel or blanket across their access door to break the wind from coming into the coop this winter. Are they smart enough to go under the blanket or will they think that it is solid?

Lots of people use burlap curtains for their nest boxes. I have plastic feedbag curtains that I cut into strips. You might have to start with strips so they can figure it out.

Yep, you'll probably have to start with it only hanging part way, or pulled to the side etc is all, or split a few times so they see 'through' it... you can build up to mostly covered and so on. You really think old time farmers never hung a feed sack over the pop door?

hehe, start now and by the time bad weather hits, it'll be old hat.
